The creator of the excellent brand is Emmanuel Courvoisier – a winemaker who used his connections in Paris to supply the drink to Napoleon Bonaparte himself. The emperor's fondness for Courvoisier not only made the company popular but in 1869 also brought the fame of "Official Supplier of the Imperial Court." The title "Napoleon" was given only to special cognacs that had aged for a certain period of time. On every bottle of Courvoisier, you will find the inscription "Le cognac de Napoleon," as well as the silhouette of the emperor.
