This wine is crafted from carefully selected grapes, harvested from vineyards in the lands of Izvorovo and Kolarovo villages, in the region of Harmanli – a terroir with traditions and proven potential for dense and characteristic wines.

The label is made as a metal casting, inspired by an ancient coin of Maximinus I Thrax, turning each bottle into a collector's item.

Gaius Julius Verus Maximinus, known in history as Maximinus I Thrax, ruled the Roman Empire from 235–238 AD. He is the only emperor of Thracian origin to reach the pinnacle of power in Rome.

He came from a humble background and before his military career, he was engaged in shepherding. Thanks to his exceptional physical strength, discipline, and combat skills, Maximinus quickly rose in the army – from a regular soldier to a commander of legions, and was subsequently proclaimed emperor by the soldiers themselves. It is with him that the era of the so-called soldier emperors begins, where the army plays a decisive role in power.

Ancient authors describe him as a man with an unusually imposing stature and height, a symbol of raw strength and warrior power. Maximinus believed that the emperor should lead the army personally and be an example on the battlefield. His reign is marked by constant military campaigns and strict control, and his personality remains one of the most vivid and controversial figures of the 3rd century.

Accounts of him speak of exceptional physical endurance and appetite, which became almost legendary during his lifetime – an image that emphasizes his primal strength and warrior character.
