Kilchoman Madeira Cask Matured 2021 is a limited-edition Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the island of Islay, Scotland. The whisky was fully matured for 5 years and 3 months in 46 fresh Madeira hogsheads before being bottled in August 2021 at 50% ABV. The rich influence of the Madeira casks combines with Kilchoman’s distinctive maritime peat smoke to create a full and fruit-forward profile.

Aroma

Rich and expressive, with caramel, orange zest and ripe plums. Mixed spices and rich peat smoke develop underneath.

Taste

Full and vibrant, with bright citrus zest and peach, followed by raisins, walnuts and dark chocolate. The smoke remains well integrated, balancing the fruity sweetness and Madeira cask influence.

Finish

Long and intense, with juicy fortified wine, burnt sugar, dark fruits and lingering smoke, reminiscent of rich smoked Christmas cake.
