Benriach 12YO – The Twelve Single Malt Scotch Whisky with Fruity, Sherry and Chocolate Notes

Benriach The Twelve is a 12-year-old Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Speyside region, matured in three different types of casks – sherry, bourbon and port. After being matured separately, the whiskies are expertly married together to create a rich and balanced profile with a distinct influence from sherry casks. Bottled at 46% ABV, it offers a full-flavoured character with fruity sweetness, nutty notes and layers of chocolate.

The nose is rich and sweet, revealing notes of maple honey, cocoa and baked forest fruits. On the palate, maraschino cherry, baked orange and hazelnut are complemented by dried fruit and delicate spicy nuances.

The finish is lingering and pleasantly spiced, with distinctive notes of sultanas and spiced mocha. With no noticeable smoky character, the fruity, sherry and chocolate notes remain at the forefront.

Benriach The Twelve is an excellent choice for those who enjoy richer and layered Speyside Single Malt whiskies. It can be enjoyed neat, with a few drops of water or over ice.
