Midleton Very Rare 2023 is a special vintage release from one of Ireland’s most prestigious whiskey collections. Created by Master Distiller Kevin O’Gorman, this expression is a carefully selected blend of rare Single Pot Still and Single Grain Irish whiskeys. Matured in lightly charred American oak barrels previously used for bourbon, it develops an elegant, sweet and complex character.

The nose is rich and layered, opening with fruity notes of nectarine, ripe melon, green apple and apricot. These gradually develop into nuances of freshly peeled ginger, crushed peppercorns, dried flowers and golden syrup. Vanilla, honeycomb and freshly roasted coffee beans add further depth and richness.

On the palate, Midleton Very Rare 2023 is luscious, creamy and silky, with succulent fruit flavours and a delicate herbal character. Notes of candied orange and dried apricot intertwine with distinctive pot still spices and the gentle influence of oak.
